چکیده
Heme proteins take part in a number of fundamental biological processes, including oxygen transport and storage, electron transfer, catalysis signal transduction. The redox chemistry the heme iron biochemical diversity have led to development plethora biotechnological applications. This work focuses on biosensing devices based proteins, which they are electronically coupled an electrode their activity is determined through measurement catalytic currents presence substrate, i.e., target analyte biosensor. After overview main concepts amperometric biosensors, we address transduction schemes, protein immobilization strategies, performance that explore reactions biocatalysts, peroxidase, cytochrome P450, catalase, nitrite reductase, c oxidase, derived microperoxidases, hemoglobin, myoglobin. We further discuss how structural information about immobilized can lead rational design devices, ensuring insights into efficiency long-term stability.

Two-phase electrocatalysis by aqueous colloids
In this work, the combination of the advantages of two-phase catalysis, electrocatalysis and colloid catalysis is presented. It is shown that palladium or gold colloids prepared by citrate reduction can be charged negatively in a heterogeneous two-phase reaction and subsequently used as aqueous catalysts for dehalogenation reactions. This can be regarded as a new type of electrocatalysis. 2002 ...
متن کاملMolecularly Imprinted Electropolymer for a Hexameric Heme Protein with Direct Electron Transfer and Peroxide Electrocatalysis
For the first time a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) with direct electron transfer (DET) and bioelectrocatalytic activity of the target protein is presented. Thin films of MIPs for the recognition of a hexameric tyrosine-coordinated heme protein (HTHP) have been prepared by electropolymerization of scopoletin after oriented assembly of HTHP on a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of mercaptound...
متن کاملDNA sensing by electrocatalysis with hemoglobin.
Electrocatalysis offers a means of electrochemical signal amplification, yet in DNA-based sensors, electrocatalysis has required high-density DNA films and strict assembly and passivation conditions. Here, we describe the use of hemoglobin as a robust and effective electron sink for electrocatalysis in DNA sensing on low-density DNA films. Protein shielding of the heme redox center minimizes di...
متن کاملElectrocatalysis in DNA Sensors.
Electrocatalysis is often thought of solely in the inorganic realm, most often applied to energy conversion in fuel cells. However, the ever-growing field of bioelectrocatalysis has made great strides in advancing technology for both biofuel cells as well as biological detection platforms. Within the context of bioelectrocatalytic detection systems, DNA-based platforms are especially prevalent....
